LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR
The Brigadiers Winter Guard is a 10-time WGI Finalist and one of the most decorated independent winter guards in New York state history.
In my tenure as director during the 2011-2020 seasons, all productions were special and significant in their own ways. They evoked emotion, sometimes to the point of tears. We required members to pull from real-life experiences to create a performance that grabbed people and pulled them into our story. Those experiences were real and raw, and those gifts are imbedded in the creativity and excellence of each and every season. I would like to think we made our mark on the community.
More importantly, we have traveled together 10 years, creating memories and traditions, providing entertainment in the arts and serving as positive role models in our color guard community. We became family, watching and participating in the celebration of life, love and happiness with each other. I am beyond proud of what we have become and all that we have accomplished. It is always my hope the color guard community remembers our gifts and contributions to the activity fondly, but mostly that the members and staff over the last 10 years have a special place in their hearts for the time they spent with us and bring those memories and experiences through life and share them with others.
Although going inactive during Covid was difficult, I am so excited to be bringing nationally competitive independent winter guard back to the Syracuse area for the 2026 season after a long hiatus. The Brigadiers Winter Guard has a history of returning stronger and more resilient than before.
